Retrofit design says you should insulate lead flashing when starting the system just above that flashing. EWI systems start at that point, so the start of the base rail. Insulating flashing is not part of the EWI system, they state that would be the detail and design of the roof not the EWI system. If we do not insulate this section, would this be a ‘fail’ under PAS 2035 or how would this work?
