Many of us RCs have Clients who have been ‘stiffed’ by Contractors in the past. ‘Each Home Counts’ noted the significant costly and disappointing impact from poor performing companies (particularly installers), which close down and then re open with minor or no change to staff or standards. As the Retrofit market opens up, it is bound to increase its percentage of these so-called ‘Phoenix’ firms unless firm preventative measures are taken.
